Recycle your mercury devices at EnviroBoutique.

CFL bulbs contain small amounts of mercury, less than that found in the emissions of coal fired power plants and far less than the overhead tubes in offices and stores, but if you throw them out the mercury still pollutes the environment.  You can bring your old CFL bulbs at EnviroBoutique and they will be disposed of properly.  We are conveniently located on Rideau Street and are open from 9 am to 5 pm.

NOTE:  If you break a CFL bulb in your home, no need to panic, just keep kids and pets away until you brush it into a sealed glass jar, which can also recycle here.  Don’t use a vacuum cleaner as it could blow the mercury around.  For a more sustainable option that doesn’t contain mercury, use LED lights.  Click HERE to see what’s on sale at EnviroBoutique.
