Finding the Mother Tree — A public talk and discussion by Nature Canada

A public talk and discussion with author Dr. Suzanne Simard on the urgent need to rethink our relationship with the natural world.

About this event

I often think when I’m in the forest, I’m listening to a symphony. It provides oxygen for us and food and for all of the creatures that live in the forest. It takes a symphony to create a beautiful piece, and that is what the forest is.” — Dr. Suzanne Simard

The evening will consist of a key note presentation by Dr. Suzanne Simard, followed by an armchair discussion featuring representatives from Nature Canada and Enviro Crew for a national and local perspective. The audience will then be invited to ask questions and contribute to an open discussion about how to protect Canada’s forests.

Book sales and signing will be available after the seminar.

COVID protocols will be in place – including masking and proof of vaccination checks for in-person attendees.

This is the inaugural event of the Southminster Community Forum. For more information visit this site.
